Early Life and Education

Born on October 25, 1992, in Cleveland, Ohio, Kamie Crawford was raised in Potomac, Maryland. She is the eldest of six sisters in a family with a rich multicultural heritage, including Jamaican, German, English, Cuban, Indian, and African-American roots. Crawford attended Winston Churchill High School, where she excelled academically, graduating with a 4.0 GPA, and served as the captain of the varsity cheerleading team. Her early interests in medicine led her to participate in the Congressional Student Leadership Conference at Georgetown University. After high school, she briefly attended the University of Alabama before transferring to Fordham University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a focus on television and digital media in 2015. ​

Pageantry and Modeling Career

Crawford's foray into pageantry began with her winning the Miss Maryland Teen USA title in 2009, marking her first competition. She went on to make history by becoming the first contestant from Maryland to win the Miss Teen USA title in 2010. She also received the Miss Photogenic award during the competition. Following her reign, Crawford signed with JAG Models in 2013, a pioneering agency representing models of all sizes. Her modeling career includes being featured as a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Rookie in 2022 and participating in their Miami Swim Week runway shows in 2023 and 2024. ​

Television Hosting and Media Presence

Crawford transitioned into television, gaining prominence as a co-host on MTV's "Catfish: The TV Show" from 2019 to 2024. She also hosted other MTV reality series, including "Are You the One?" and "Ex on the Beach." In 2021, she launched her podcast, "Relationsh*t with Kamie Crawford," which offers candid discussions on relationships and has garnered over 3 million downloads. Her engaging presence has led to appearances on various media platforms, including "The Real," "Access Hollywood," and "Entertainment Tonight."
